In A Nutshell :
Penelope is a story about a cursed girl with a piggy nose. Yep. You heard (or read) it right. Played by Christina Ricci and also starring Reese Witherspoon, this is definitely a worth-watching modern fairy tale with twist.
Finding the Movie :
I was browsing through Twilightlexicon like I do everyday and there was an announcement that there will be a Twilight Movie Sneak Peek in the Penelope DVD. I was wondering "What is Penelope"?! It sounded awesome.
Story Plot :
Nothing in life will ever be perfect. Penelope had it all-a promising future, aristocratic loving parents, and a pig's nose?! Penelope's family was supposedly cursed by a witch (which will be explained in the movie, of course). The only way to break it is if someone of their own kind-a blue blood-could truly love her for who she is-even for her nose. Not a very easy thing to do, huh?
Review Proper :
4/5 again. It really was living up to its name as a modern fairy tale. Plus, I've always loved Christina Ricci. She's a great actress and I've always looked up to her since the day I first saw "Casper" (oh Casper, I loved that movie!). And Reese Witherspoon was there! Loved the story. Loved the acting. 'Nuff said or I might give you spoilers.
Favorite Scene :
The wedding. The bridesgroom's expression was priceless.
