for everyone
Category:Movies
Genre: Science Fiction & Fantasy
In A Nutshell :
Edward Scissorhands is a beautiful story about a boy who has scissors for hands-blades, sharp things. And his name is Edward. Certainly not an Edward Cullen much but hey, the actor Johnny Depp is still sizzling sexy. Hmm.

Finding the Movie :
My dad recommended it to me a few months ago when we were watching "Sweeney Todd" (which was an awesome movie, by the way). He asked me who the actor and director were so I told him Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. Lovely.

Story Plot :
Though you could consider Edward being a robot, being invented by a really old man who died before he could give him realistic hands, he had a heart, a brain, everything. He had senses and sure it seems impossible but this is fiction. Anyhow, he's been living alone in an old castle on the hill until Peg, a sweet middle-aged Avon dealer, found him. She took him in her home but just look at the picture for one sec, it scared the devil out of my brother! Peg's family wasn't too warm towards Edward at first and so were the neighbors but things eventually worked out. He had a cool talent of trimming and cutting things-plants, animal fur, women's hair, ice ... and he was a super nice guy so people learnt to love him. Speaking of love, did I mention that Edward, too, fell in love with a pretty teenage girl?

Review Proper :
I'll give it a 4/5. It was a very good film. I wish I could've given this a 4.9/5 but that isn't possible. So, a 4/5 should do. This is a must-see classic. And Johnny Depp, as usual, was at his best. Such a brilliant actor. And Tim Burton is still the best director when it comes to this genre. I don't know how you can sum up "The Corpse Bride", "Edward Scissorhands", "Sleepy Hollow", "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory", "Sweeney Todd" and more really but I love them all. I don't know much about camera angles but I always base my reviews on the story. It's awesome. But it's not a happy ending-oops.

Favorite Scene :
When Kim, Peg's daughter, first met Edward. I won't go into details but this was my favorite scene. Hilarious.
